2 New Affordable SUVs Coming In July – Maruti & Nissan

July has lots of in store for auto enthusiasts. Multiple new cars and SUVs are set to hit showrooms next month including the Renault Kwid facelift, Skoda Kodiaq RS, Nissan Tekton midsize SUV, MG’s plug-in hybrid SUV, Maruti Brezza facelift, Honda ZR-V hybrid SUV and new-gen Toyota Hilux pickup truck.

All these models cater to different segments across various price ranges. If you’re looking for an affordable SUV, the upcoming lineup offers two options – the new 2026 Maruti Brezza and the Nissan Tekton SUV. Here’re the key details of these upcoming affordable SUVs.

New 2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift
Expected Price – Rs 8.30 lakh – Rs 13.20 lakh

The biggest upgrade is likely to be the introduction of a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx. The Maruti Brezza currently is the only model in its segment without a turbocharged engine. It could be paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. The new Maruti Brezza CNG might feature an underbody-mounted CNG tank kit, which would free up boot space.

Spy shots suggest that the 2026 Maruti Brezza might derive styling cues and features from the Victoris. It could get a larger touchscreen, ventilated front seats and an ADAS suite.

Nissan Tekton
Expected Price – Rs 10.50 lakh – Rs 18.70 lakh

The Nissan Tekton, based on the Renault Duster, is expected to be offered with two petrol engine options – a 100bhp, 1.0L turbo and 163bhp and a 1.3L turbo. A 6-speed manual transmission will come as standard, while a 7-speed DCT will be reserved for the 1.3L petrol-powered variants. Its interior and features are expected to largely similar to the Duster.

Visually, the Nissan Tekton looks completely different from the Duster. Its design and styling are heavily inspired by the flagship Nissan Patrol SUV. Official images reveal that the SUV features a familiar grille, LED headlamps, multi-spoke alloy wheels, pull-type door handles at the front and C-pillar mounted door handles at the rear, C-shaped taillamps and a twin-ridge spoiler.
