2 New Hero 125cc Bikes Coming This Diwali

Hero MotoCorp has confirmed the launch of two new 125cc motorcycles for India, set to arrive during the 2025 festive season. The homegrown two-wheeler maker currently holds a 12.8 percent market share in the 111cc-125cc commuter motorcycle segment, while Honda and Bajaj Auto lead the charts. With the upcoming new Hero 125cc bikes, Hero aims to challenge Honda’s dominance in the 125cc segment.

The official name and details of the models are still under the wraps; however, they are expected to be the Hero Glamour Xtec 2.0 and Hero Xtreme 125R. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from the upcoming Hero 125cc bikes.

Hero Glamour Xtec 2.0

Spy images of the new Hero Glamour Xtec 2.0 bike reveal several interesting details. It will be a more premium variant of the Glamour 125, offering segment-first features such as a TFT console, cruise control and ride-by-wire throttle. The bike might get new body-graphics, while retaining its original design and styling.

Engine details have not been disclosed yet. The current Hero Glamour Xtec uses a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, pushing out a maximum power of 10.7bhp and 10.6Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox with a constant mesh. In terms of pricing, the new Hero Glamour Xtec 2.0 is expected to be priced around Rs 8,000 more expensive than the Glamour Xtec, which is currently available at Rs 95,098 (ex-showroom).

Hero Xtreme 125R

The second upcoming model could be the updated Hero Xtreme 125R. The bike is likely to receive a few design and feature upgrades including a TFT screen. The bikemaker might also equip the new Xtreme 125R with an inverted fork and a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The engine might remain unchanged – i.e. 124.7cc, single-cylinder, 2V, air-cooled. This motor pushes out a maximum power of 11.4bhp and 10.5Nm of torque.
