2 New Hyundai SUVs Coming Soon

Hyundai has an ambitious expansion plan for the Indian market. The carmaker has announced 26 new model launches by 2030 across ICE (internal combustion engine), electric and hybrid segments. As a part of its new product strategy, Hyundai Motor India will introduce the all-new Hyundai Bayon-based SUV and the next-generation Hyundai Creta during FY2026-2027.

Hyundai Bayon

Codenamed Bc4i, the Hyundai Bayon-based is expected to make its India debut in the second quarter of FY2027 (between July-September, 2026). One of the biggest highlights of this new SUV will be Hyundai’s all-new 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which is reportedly more compact and fuel efficient than the Creta’s 1.5L turbo petrol engine. Furthermore, the new engine will be compatible with hybrid technology, and could become the brand’s main hybrid engine for compact and midsize SUVs in both domestic and global markets.

In terms of features, the new Bayon SUV is expected to offer a dual-screen setup, automatic climate control, connected car features, wireless smartphone connectivity, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and more.

The third-generation Hyundai Creta is likely to debut early next year. The SUV lineup will receive comprehensive design changes, feature and tech enhancements and the brand’s new K3 architecture along with a strong hybrid powertrain. According to reports, Hyundai might either electrify its proven 1.5L petrol engine or use the hybrid version of the all-new 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which will debut in the Bayon.

The all-new Creta will also mark the debut of the brand’s Pleos Connect system, which will compromise a larger centre touchscreen and a slim driver’s display along with built-in Gleo AI. Features such as new upholstery and trims, updated ADAS suite, adjustable headrests for rear seat occupants and revised door trims could also be on offer. Compared to the current generation, the all-new Creta will be longer, wider and more spacious.
