Toyota Kirloskar Motor plans to expand its utility vehicle (UV) portfolio with multiple new launches in the coming years. Meanwhile, the Japanese automaker is set to launch the Glanza facelift with a few noticeable upgrades in October, 2026. It will be followed by the official unveiling of the next-generation Toyota Fortuner in late 2026 and the launch of the Toyota Innova Hycross facelift early next year. These two 7-seater models are expected to give the brand’s sales a significant boost.
Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner
The new-generation Toyota Fortuner will derive several design elements and features from the ninth-generation Hilux. Based on the updated IMV ladder-frame chassis, the SUV is expected to feature split headlamp setup, slim LED DRLs, larger front grille, revised bumpers, repositioned fog lamps and slimmer, wraparound taillamps.
Inside the cabin, the 2027 Toyota Fortuner is expected to feature a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display, borrowed from the new Hilux. The SUV will also be equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (ADAS) suite.
Under the hood, the new Fortuner is likely to retain the existing 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engine options. The diesel engine will also be available with Toyota’s 48V mild hybrid system.
Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift
The 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to feature a heavily revised front fascia inspired by the new Hilux. It could get a squarer grille with diamond-shaped air inlets, slimmer projector headlamps and revised bumper. Other design highlights might include newly-designed alloy wheels, new LED elements in the taillights and more.
Spy images confirm that the MPV will feature a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a driver’s display. It could also get new trims and upholstery along with a bunch of new features.
Mechanically, the new Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to remain unchanged. The updated MPV lineup will continue to be offered with the 173bhp, 2.0-litre petrol and 184bhp, 2.0-litre petrol hybrid powertrain options.
