2 Upcoming Renault Hybrid SUVs

With its ‘futuREady’ strategy for 2026-2030, Renault India is focusing heavily on expanding its product portfolio in the coming years. The all-new Duster is already here with an attractive price point, challenging the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and other midsize SUVs. The company is now preparing to introduce three new SUVs – the Duster hybrid, the 7-seater Duster and the Bridger. While the Renault Duster hybrid is slated to launch by Diwali 2026, the 7-seater Duster and Bridger subcompact SUVs are expected to arrive in 2027.

Upcoming Renault Hybrid SUVs

Renault has confirmed that the Duster hybrid will feature a 1.8L, four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. This setup will offer a combined power of 160PS and 172Nm, making it the most powerful hybrid vehicle in its segment. The same powertrain is expected to be offered in the 7-seater Renault Duster.

Duster Hybrid Sold Out!

Interestingly, the Renault Duster hybrid has already been sold out for 2026 even before its official launch, reflecting high demand. Nearly 39 percent of pre-bookings have come from metro cities. Pre-bookings for the hybrid version are currently closed, and are expected to reopen closer to its launch near Diwali season.

7-Seater Renault Duster – What to Expect?

The 7-seater Renault Duster was recently spied testing in India. Its design and styling will be heavily inspired by the Dacia Bigster, and its 5-seater sibling. Spy images suggest that the SUV will feature a slim rectangular grille, arrow-shaped LED lighting, roof rails, C-pillar mounted rear door handles, a stepped rear spoiler and a larger rear quarter glass.

Compared to the 5-seater Duster, the three-row SUV will be longer to accommodate an additional row of seats. Most of its features are expected to be similar to its 5-seater sibling including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in, 6-way powered front seats with manual lumbar adjustment, 3 driving modes, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS suite, multiple airbags and more.
