Ather Energy has unveiled its second major family-oriented electric scooter for the Indian market. Called the Ather Konarc, the model comes at an attractive starting price of Rs 99,999. It’s the brand’s first production scooter to be based on its new-generation EL platform. The electric scooter lineup is available in S Line and Z Line variants.
The all-new Ather Konarc directly competes with the TVS iQube, Ola Electric S1 range, Bajaj Chetak, Vida electric scooters. Delivers of the new Ather family electric scooter will start from September 21, 2026.
Ather Konarc – Design &Features
Visually, the new Ather electric scooter looks sportier and sharper than the Ather 450 range. It features a LED headlamp integrated into the handlebar along with a glossy black handlebar cowl and a front apron featuring U-shaped LED DRLs.
Other design highlights include a wide single-piece seat, silver pillion grab rail, flat floorboard, integrated pillion backrest, contrasting inner panels, front storage cubby, and a larger touchscreen instrument console with smartphone connected features.
The new Ather family electric scooter is also equipped with the Airwalk feature. The system is designed to use the electric motor to make walking or manually moving the scooter easier. Since electric scooters can be relatively heavy to push through tight spaces, parking areas and inclines, the Airwalk feature could add convenience in everyday usage.
Ather Konarc – Battery & Range
The new Konarc electric scooter comes equipped with Ather’s new Bedrock battery system, which is available with multiple battery configurations. The top-end S-Line variant offers a claimed IDC range of 200km on a single charge, making it one of Ather’s longest-range electric scooters in India. Meanwhile, the Z Line variant delivers IDC range of 161km.
Ather Konarc – Charging Time & Options
The new Ather electric scooter gets a 450W built-in charger, allowing users to connect the vehicle directly to an electrical socket using a charging cable. It also benefits from onboard charging technology, thanks to the EL platform, delivering a total charging capability of around 900W. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in around two hours.
