2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Priced at Rs 55.7 Lakh – Now Offers 690km Range


The updated 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been launched in India at Rs 55.7 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on Hyundai’s E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular) platform, the electric SUV has received upgrades across performance, technology and safety. The lineup is offered in an Obsidian Black cabin theme and four exterior colour options – Titan Grey, Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl and Optic White.

Larger Battery & Extended Range

The most significant upgrade comes in the form of a larger 84.0kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer an ARAI-certified driving range of up to 690km. The carmaker says that “this enhancement ensures greater convenience, reduced range anxiety and makes long-distance electric mobility more seamless than ever before.” However, Hyundai hasn’t yet revealed the official power and torque figures for the India-spec model. Globally, the 84.0kWh battery pack version delivers a claimed 229bhp and 350Nm of torque.

New Hyundai Ioniq 5 Range

Improved Styling

On the exterior, the new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 features revised front and rear bumpers, new skid plates, newly-designed alloy wheels, new Hi-tech V-garnish lighting design, and a new rear spoiler. However, the signature Parametric Pixel design lighting remains unchanged.

Enhanced Interior

The interior now looks more modern with a new three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with 4-dots pixel light design and a heating function. It continues to offer dual 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The wireless charging pad has also been redesigned and now integrates physical controls for heated and ventilated seats.

New Features & Tech

In terms of features, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 offers Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), Controller Over‑the‑Air (C‑OTA), Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Active Sound Design (ASD), remote immobilization via Hyundai Bluelink and new in‑car payment integration. Additionally, the updated SUV lineup offers Parking Collision‑Avoidance Assist – Rear and Parking Distance Warning (PDW – Side).
