Turbo-Petrol & Underbody CNG Tank

Under the hood, the new Maruti Brezza 2026 facelift is likely to feature a 1.0L turbo Boosterjet petrol engine borrowed from the Fronx. This engine pushes out a maximum power of 100bhp and 147Nm of torque. It could be offered with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. With its smaller capacity engine, the updated Brezza will be eligible for the lower 18 percent GST tax slab.

The lower and mid-spec variants are likely to continue with the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, and two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The subcompact SUV lineup will also continue to be available with a CNG powertrain. However, the CNG version is expected to come with an underbody-mounted CNG tank configuration as we have seen in the Maruti Victoris.

ADAS & More Features

Inside the cabin, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is likely to feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system sourced from the Victoris along with the new upholstery and trims, ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat, and ambient lighting. To give it a competitive edge, Maruti Suzuki might equip the new Brezza with a Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite.

Revised Styling

Minimal design changes are expected. The new Maruti Brezza 2026 facelift is expected to derive several design elements from the Victrois including the connected LED taillamps. Other design changes might include a slightly revised front grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, and newly-designed four-spoke alloy wheels.

Minor Price Hike

The new Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to command a slightly premium over the current model, which is available within the price range of Rs 8.26 lakh – Rs 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom). In the highly-competitive sub-4 metre SUV segment, it will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq.
