2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift Launching On Feb 20 – Bigger Battery On Cards?

Tata Motors is now set to launch the Punch EV facelift on 20th February, 2026. This will be the first major midlife update for the electric compact crossover since its arrive in early 2024. While official specifications, design changes and feature upgrades will be revealed in the coming days, the new 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to receive minimal changes both inside and out.

What Do the Rumours Suggest?

If rumours are to be believed, the new Tata Punch EV could share the larger 45kWh battery pack from the Nexon EV. On the Nexon EV, this battery pack, paired with electric motor, delivers a combine power of 145bhp and 215Nm of torque on the Nexon EV. Its claimed ARAI range of 489km on a single charge.

Speculations also suggest that Tata Motors might instead use the 40.5kWh battery pack that was previously offered on the Nexon EV. If it happens, the compact crossover will be able to deliver a range of close to 500km.
