Honda Cars India recently announced its ambitious product strategy including six new product launches in financial year 2026-2027. The City facelift has already been launched with noticeable cosmetic changes and feature enhancements, and it will soon be followed by the ZR-V hybrid SUV. The Honda Elevate is expected to receive a midlife update in the second half of this year, while Honda’s first electric offering, the 0 Alpha, will arrive in 2027.
The remaining launches are likely to be global models, which will be brought to India through CBU (completely built unit) route during FY2026-2027. With a focus on hybrid and electric vehicles, Honda is currently evaluating the Civic, Accord and CR-V for the Indian market. All these models could be introduced in their hybrid versions by the end of March 2027. More details are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Honda Civic Hybrid
Globally, the Honda Civic hybrid is available with a 2.0L, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine paired with Honda e:HEV dual-motor hybrid system. It offers a combined power output of 200bhp and 315Nm of torque. The sedan comes with an e-CVT automatic gearbox and a FWD (front-wheel drive) system.
Honda Accord Hybrid
The hybrid version of the Honda Accord features a 2.0L Atkinson cycle petrol engine paired with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack. This setup, with an e-CVT transmission and FWD system, produces a combined power of 204bhp and 335Nm of torque. The sedan can accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 7 seconds, and has a top speed of 190kmph.
Honda CR-V Hybrid
The Honda CR-V hybrid uses a 2.0L, four-cylinder petrol engine mated with Honda’s dual motor e:HEV hybrid system. The SUV is available with both FWD and AWD drivetrain options. It delivers a combined output of 204bhp and 335Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in 8 seconds, and has an electronic speed limit of 185kmph.
