The next three months are going to super exciting for the Indian automobile industry as several new models are ready to hit showrooms. In the sub-4 metre SUV segment, Hyundai, Renault and Tata have lined up the new-gen Venue, updated Kiger and Punch, respectively. While the launch of the new Renault Kiger facelift is confirmed for the 24th August, the third-gen Hyundai Venue is scheduled to go on sale on 24th October. The launch date of the new Tata Punch facelift is yet to be announced; however, it’s expected to launch just before Diwali season. Let’s take a closer look at the key details of these upcoming new compact SUVs.

Renault Kiger Facelift
The latest official teaser reveals a slightly updated rear profile of the new Kiger. The compact SUV is expected to receive subtle changes inside and out, while retaining the existing 1.0L NA and turbo petrol engines. Similar to the currently model, the CNG option will be offered as a retrofit. Inside, the 2025 Renault Kiger might get a new freestanding touchscreen, new seat upholstery and trims. Most of the cosmetic changes will be made at the front end.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue
Codenamed QU2i, the new-generation Hyundai Venue will come with significantly improved styling and interior. Features such as ventilated front seats, a larger display screens, a panoramic sunroof and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) could be the part of the updated feature kit. The 2025 Hyundai Venue will derive some design elements from the Creta and Alcazar. The new-gen model will continue to be available with the existing 1.0L turbo, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options.
Tata Punch Facelift
Both the ICE-powered Tata Punch and Punch EV are ready to receive midlife updates in October, 2025. Spy images suggest that the updated Punch will feature a newly-designed front grille, slimmer headlamps, new LED DRL signature and a slightly revised front bumper. It might also receive newly-designed alloy wheels. The compact SUV is expected to be offered with a new two-spoke steering wheel sourced from the recently-launched Altroz facelift, a larger touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster and a touch-based HVAC control panel. The 2025 Tata Punch will retain the existing engine setup.
