2026 is set to be a year of hybrids and electric vehicles (EVs), with several new models lined up across these segments. In April alone, three new EVs are ready to hit showrooms including the Mercedes CLA EV sedan, Toyota Urban Cruiser eBella EV midsize SUV and Vinfast Limo Green three-row MPV. If you are planning to buy an EV soon, here’s a look at the key details of these upcoming models.
Toyota eBella

Bookings for the new eBella EV are already underway. It’s essentially Toyota’s derivative of the Maruti e Vitara, which will be available in three variants – E1, E2 and E3. The E1 variant will feature a 49kWh battery pack paired with a 144bhp electric motor, while the E2 and E3 will be offered with a 61kWh battery paired with a 174bhp electric motor. The EV is claimed to deliver a driving range of 440km with the smaller battery and up to 543km with the larger battery pack.
Mercedes CLA EV
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that deliveries of the CLA 250+ Long Range variant will start in April, while the CLA 200 Standard Range version will be handed over to customers in June, 2026. The electric sedan uses an 85kWh battery pack, and offers a claimed range of up to 729km on the WLTP cycle. The Standard Range variant promises a driving range of 542km per charge. By using a 240kW DC fast charger, the Mercedes CLA EV can be charged around 400km in just 20 minutes.
Vinfast Limo Green
Vinfast is set to introduce its third electric offering in India – the Limo Green. Featuring a three-row seating configuration, the MPV will target both personal buyers and fleet operators. Similar to its global counterpart, the India-spec Vinfast Limo Green will be available with a 60.13kWh battery pack, paired with an electric motor. This setup offers a range of 450km (NEDC) along with a combined power of 204bhp and 280Nm of torque.
