Maruti Suzuki has further expanded its CNG product lineup with the introduction of the new Baleno, Swift and Dzire CNG AMT variants. The new Maruti Baleno CNG AMT is available in the Delta and Zeta trims, with prices starting at Rs 8.32 lakh. It features a 70bhp, 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG tank placed inside the boot, while the hatchback continues to offer a spare wheel.
The Baleno CNG AMT version delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 34.47km per kg, making it slightly more frugal than the CNG MT variant.
Maruti Swift CNG & Dzire CNG AMT
The Maruti Swift CNG AMT variants, available in VXi, VXi (O) and ZXi), are offered at an introductory price of Rs 7.92 lakh. Meanwhile, the Dzire CNG AMT variants, available in VXi and ZXi trims, cost from Rs 8.53 lakh onwards. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. The CNG AMT versions are nearly Rs 35,000 more expensive than their standard manual counterparts.
Both Swift CNG AMT and Dzire AMT versions comes equipped with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG kit. This setup delivers a claimed power of 70bhp and 102Nm of torque. The Maruti Swift CNG AMT offers a claimed mileage of 35.34km per kg, while the Maruti Dzire CNG AMT delivers 36.47km per kg. Both models feature retuned suspension system.
Market Overview
Maruti Suzuki currently has 15 factory-fitted CNG models in its product lineup, and plans to further increase CNG sales in the coming years. The Indo-Japanese automaker aims to sell 9 lakh CNG vehicles in the current financial year, representing 30% YoY growth. In the first quarter of 2026, Maruti Suzuki sold 2.2 lakh CNG cars, registering a 58 percent.
Nearly 50 percent of the overall demand for the Maruti Victrois midsize SUV currently comes from its CNG variants. The introduction of an underbody CNG tank has become a key factor in increasing the demand for CNG vehicles.
