3 VinFast Electric Cars Planned For India in 2026 – 7-Seater, Punch Rival & More


Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, VinFast began its Indian operations with the VF6 and VF7 in September, 2025. Within four months of its arrival, the carmaker crossed the 1,000-unit sales market while steadily expanding its sale sand service network. In 2026, the company has already sold over 200 EVs and these figures are expected to increase significantly with the launch of three new products across segments.

The VinFast Limo Green three-row electric MPV is all set to hit showrooms in February, while the names of other two upcoming models are yet to officially confirmed. According to media reports, VinFast will introduce the VF3 two-door micro EV and the VF5 sub-compact EV. While the VinFast VF3 will be positioned against the MG Comet EV, the VinFast VF5 will directly take on the Tata Punch EV.

VinFast Limo Green

Vinfast Limo Green Electric MPV

With the Limo Green, the Vietnamese EV maker will target family-oriented electric car buyers and challenge the BYD eMax7. Globally, the MPV is available with a 60.13kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor, delivering power worth 204bhp and 280Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 450km (NEDC) on a full charge. The Limo Green comes with three driving modes – Eco, Comfort and Sport. The same powertrain is likely to be offered with the India-bound model.

VinFast VF3

In the company’s Indian product portfolio, the VinFast VF3 will sit below the VF6 and positioned as an affordable urban electric commuter with an estimated price range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 10 lakh. The VF3 will be powered by an 18.64kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery paired with an electric battery generating 44bhp. This compact EV returns a range of around 210km per charge.

VinFast VF5

The VinFast VF5 is globally available with two battery pack options – 29.6kwh and 37.23kWh – depending on the market. The smaller capacity battery is paired with a 95bhp front-axle mounted motor, and offers a claimed NEDC range of 268km. Meanwhile, the larger 37.23kWh battery pack version with a 136bhp front-axle mounted motor, promises a driving range of 326km on a full charge.
