Maruti Suzuki aims to regain a 50 percent market share while also achieving the top position in EV (electric vehicle) production, sales and exports. The company plans to capitalise on the fastest growing SUV segment along with adopting a muti-fuel, multi-powertrain strategy. Besides this, the carmaker will continue updating its existing product portfolio through facelifts, generational upgrades and special editions.
In 2026-2027, Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce midlife updates for its four popular models including the Brezza, Fronx, WagonR and Grand Vitara. While official details are likely to be revealed closer to their launch, here’s what we can expect from these upcoming models.
Maruti Brezza Facelift
The new Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to arrive around the 2026 festive season, featuring significant feature and mechanical upgrades. Spy images hint that the SUV will receive a larger touchscreen infotainment system along with new trims and colour scheme.
Reports also indicate that the updated Brezza could borrow the 1.0L turbo petrol engine from the Fronx, paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, the CNG version is likely to come with an underbody-mounted CNG tank, similar to the Victoris. Read More…
Maruti Fronx Facelift

Maruti Suzuki hasn’t yet announced an official launch timeline for the Fronx facelift; however, it’s expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. One of the biggest upgrades will come in the form of an all-new series strong hybrid powertrain, developed in-house for the brand’s future mass-market offerings.
The carmaker is likely to electrify its Z12E petrol engine, which is rumoured to offer a fuel efficiency of over 35kmpl. The 2026 Maruti Fronx facelift could also be offered with an ADAS suite. Read More…
Maruti WagonR Facelift
Maruti Suzuki usually introduces mid-cycle refreshes (MCRs) around 3-4 years after the model’s launch. Since the WagonR hatchback last received an update in 2022, its next facelift is expected in 2026 or 2027. The updated model is likely to see minimal design changes and feature enhancements, while retaining the existing engine setup.
Maruti Grand Vitara Facelift
Launched in September 2022, the Maruti Grand Vitara is approaching four years in the Indian market. This suggest that the SUV is now closer to its first midlife update, which might happen in the second half of 2026. Similar to the updated WagonR, the new Grand Vitara is expected to witness subtle design changes along with minor interior and feature upgrades.
