The Indian automobile industry will conclude 2025 on a high note, with four major SUVs are ready to launch in December. Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce its first EV – the e Vitara – on 2nd December, while the petrol-powered Tata Harrier and Safari will go on sale on 9th December. The second-generation Kia Seltos will make its India debut on 10th December. Here’re the key details of these upcoming SUVs.

Maruti e Vitara

The Maruti e Vitara will come with two battery options – 49kWh and 69kWh – paired to an electric motor and a front-wheel drive (FWD) system. Maruti Suzuki claims that the EV will deliver a range of over 500km. It will be one of the most feature-packed Maruti Suzuki cars to date, offering a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, multiple airbags, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Tata Harrier/Safari Petrol
The petrol versions of the Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs will use an all-new 1.5L direct injection, turbocharged engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 170PS at 5,000rpm and 280Nm of torque at 2,000rpm – 3,500rpm. It’s the same engine that powers the new Tata Sierra. No design changes and feature upgrades expected for the petrol variants Harrier and Safari.
New-Gen Kia Seltos
The next-generation Kia Seltos will receive significantly design changes and feature upgrades, while the engine setup are likely to be carried over from the current model. The latest teaser confirms that the SUV will feature new LED headlamps, revised bumper, a more sculpted bonnet, new alloy wheels and connected taillamp stirp. Inside, the SUV will get a panoramic sunroof and new upholstery along with additional features.
