In an attempt to strengthen its position in the Indian market, Kia has planned several new models across multiple segments and powertrain options. In 2026-27, the South Korean automaker will introduce four major products including the Syros EV, Sorento three-row premium SUV, Seltos strong hybrid and the next-generation Sonet.
The Kia Syros EV is slated to make official debut in July 2026, the Sorento and Seltos with strong hybrid powertrains will arrive in 2027. The launch of the all-new Kia Sonet launch is also planned for next year. Here’s a brief overview of these upcoming Kia SUVs in India.

Kia Syros EV

The Kia Syros EV will be the brand’s entry-level EV offering, which is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia Sorento
Estimated to be priced around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kia Sorento will compete against the Toyota Fortuner and Jeep Meridian in India. It will be one of Kia’s first hybrid offerings in the country. While its official powertrain specifications are yet to be revealed, the 7-seater SUV is expected to be offered with an electrified version of Kia’s proven 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. Kia Seltos Hybrid

New-Gen Kia Sonet
The next-generation Kia Sonet will undergo comprehensive design changes, feature upgrades and mechanical enhancements. The subcompact SUV will underpin the new K1 platform, shared with the Syros, which will address the limited rear seat space of the current generation.
