4 New Maruti Cars Launching In 2026 – Brezza Facelift to 7-Seater SUV

In FY2026, Maruti Suzuki witnessed its third consecutive year of market share decline due to increasing competition and a drop in the small car segment. Despite losing market share, the carmaker’s sales volume increased by 5.7% and it continued to remain India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer. Aiming to regain its lost market share, Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its product portfolio with 28 models by 2030-31. Furthermore, the carmaker will adopt a multi-powertrain strategy including petrol, hybrid, CNG, electric and flex-fuel.

In 2026, Maruti Suzuki is likely to introduce four major models including the Brezza and Baleno facelift, a sub-4m MPV and a premium 7-seater SUV. It’s important to note that the carmaker hasn’t yet officially revealed their launch timelines. Here’s a closer look at these upcoming Maruti cars.

2026 Maruti Brezza/ Baleno Facelifts

The updated Brezza and Baleno are expected to receive subtle cosmetic changes and feature enhancements, while retaining their existing engine setups. Reports suggest that both could borrow the 100bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine from the Fronx compact crossover. The carmaker might also introduce an underbody-mounted CNG tank setup similar to the Victoris.

Maruti Subcompact MPV

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly working on a mini MPV (codenamed YDB), measuring around 3,395mm in length. It’s one of the much-anticipated upcoming Maruti cars in 2026. The model is likely to be based on the Suzuki Spacia, which is already on sale in Japanese market, and could be sold via Nexa dealerships. Similar to the Spacia, the new Maruti mini MPV is expected to feature an upright and boxy stance.

7-Seater Maruti Grand Vitara

The 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara is currently undergoing testing, and expected to arrive around Diwali season or in late 2026. Just like its 5-seater sibling, the three-row SUV is likely to use the 1.5L mild hybrid petrol and strong hybrid powertrains. Several design elements will be retained, expected the increased length and the addition of a thrid row of seats.
