As June is coming to an end, the excitement is set to continue with four new SUVs are set to hit Indian roads. Interestingly, the upcoming models feature different powertrains, including hybrid, electric and petrol options.
Skoda Auto is set to introduce the performance-oriented Kodiaq RS on June 22, while the Tata Sierra Ev will go on sale on June 30, 2026. Bookings for the Honda ZR-V hybrid SUV are already underway, with official deliveries to begin in July 2026. Nissan’s all-new Tekton SUV is ready to make its global debut on July 9, 2026. Here’s a closer look at the key details of these upcoming SUVs.
Skoda Kodiaq RS
Bookings for the Skoda Kodiaq RS will be commenced on June 22 ahead of its market launch in the coming weeks. Only 50 units of this performance SUV will be available in the first batch. Under the hood, the SUV features a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, which is tuned for generating power worth 265bhp and 400Nm of torque. Transmission duties are performed by a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Tata Sierra EV
The production-ready Tata Sierra EV is likely to feature a closed-off grille, aero-optimized alloy wheels and revised bumpers, differentiating it with its ICE counterpart. While official powertrain specifications are yet to be announced, the Sierra EV is expected to borrow the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs from the Tata Harrier EV.
Honda ZR-V
The Honda ZR-V will be brought to India in limited numbers via CBU route. The SUV will come with a 2.0L, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a dual motor strong hybrid system. Its combined output stands at 184bhp and 315Nm. Power is delivered to the front wheels via an e-CVT gearbox. The hybrid SUV does 0 to 100kmph in 8 seconds and offers a top speed of 172kmph.
Nissan Tekton
The Nissan Tekton is essentially a re-badged Renault Duster with Nissan’s Patrol-inspired design language. It’s likely to share its platform, engines, components and features with the Duster. This means, the SUV lineup will be available with a 100bhp, 1.0L turbo and 163bhp, 1.3L turbo petrol engine options. A hybrid variant, based on the Duster hybrid powertrain, could also be introduced at a later stage.
