The next-generation Hyundai Creta is undergoing extensive testing and frequent sightings of its test mule suggest that SUV is closer to its final production form. It’s expected to receive radical design changes and a more premium and feature-loaded interior, while retaining the existing petrol and diesel engine options. However, the biggest upgrade will be the introduction of a new strong hybrid powertrain.
The strong hybrid setup will be exclusive to the new Creta, while Hyundai’s upcoming Bayon-based midsize SUV will be offered with petrol and CNG powertrain options.
Compared to the existing Creta, here’s what’s changing
– Compared to the current generation, the new 2027 Hyundai Creta feature a more upright front fascia and a taller bonnet.
– Spy shots suggest that the SUV will feature LED headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs similar to those seen on the Venue. Redesigned bumpers and newly-designed alloy wheels will further differentiate it from the outgoing model.
– The all-new Creta will be built on Hyundai-Kia’s new and safer K3 platform, which also underpins the Kia Seltos.
– Dimensionally, the new Hyundai Creta will be longer, wider and more spacious than the current generation.
– Inside the cabin, the new 2027 Hyundai Creta will feature the brand’s new Pleos Connect infotainment system, with larger central touchscreen and driver’s display. Hyundai might also equip the all-new model features such as new seat upholstery and trims, front seat headrest adjustable, headrests for rear seat passengers and more.
– According to reports, the new Hyundai Creta will debut with Hyundai’s new strong hybrid powertrain, which is expected to be the electrified version of the existing 1.5L petrol engine.
The new 2027 Hyundai Creta will continue to offe the existing 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol producing power worth 115bhp, a 1.5L turbo petrol generating 160bhp and 1.5L diesel engine that’s good enough for 115bhp. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will also be carried over from the current generation.
