At the recently held Investor Meet, Tata Motors announced its ambitious future roadmap, which includes the introduction of seven new nameplates by the financial year 2030. The brand-new Tata model lineup will consist of three ICE (internal combustion engine) offerings and four all-electric vehicles. The first nameplate will be the Tata Sierra, which has already been showcased multiple times in both concept and production-ready forms.
Initially, the Sierra will be introduced with electric powertrain, while its ICE-powered version is slated to arrive in early 2026. It will Tata’s answer to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. The Sierra EV might share its powertrains with the Harrier EV, while its ICE version will come with the all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines and a 2.0L diesel engine.

- The homegrown automaker is also working on a brand-new compact SUV, codenamed Tata Scarlet. It’s expected to hit roads in the second half of 2026, possibly around the Diwali season. Its design is expected to be inspired by the Sierra, and the engine options might include a 120bhp, 1.2L turbo and a 125bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol unit. Lower trims might get the new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine.
- Next in line is the Tata Avinya premium electric SUVs, which are expected to launch sometime in 2027. These EVs will feature a large battery pack, and offer impressive driving range. If the final model stays true to the concept, the Avinya EV will sport a futuristic design.
- The new-generation Tata Harrier (codename – Taurus) and Safari (codename – Leo) will be introduced with comprehensive design and feature upgrades. The SUVs will also underpin a new flexible platform, and expected to be longer and more spacious than their current models.
- Tata’s top-selling Nexon compact SUV will also witness a generational upgrade in 2027. The SUV will sit on a heavily modified version of its existing architecture, and likely to receive significant changes inside and out. Reports suggest that the all-new Tata Nexon might be offered with the Level-1 ADAS suite.
- Additionally, Tata Motors has confirmed two all-new compact electric SUVs, codenamed Kuno and Terra. Details of these upcoming EVs are not available at this moment.
