The new-generation Toyota Hilux is set to hit Indian roads on July 28, 2026. The pickup truck adopts Toyota’s all-new ‘Cyber Sumo’ design language, featuring a more squared-off front fascia, a large honeycomb grille, slim LED headlamps, pronounced bonnet, large ‘TOYOTA’ badging, more sculpted body sides, sporty bumpers and slim vertical LED taillamps. As a result, the 2026 Toyota Hilux looks more modern and evolved than its predecessor.
Design Inspiration For Upcoming Models
The upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross facelift and the next-generation Toyota Fortuner will derive several design elements from the all-new Hilux pickup truck. The latest spy images of the 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross reveal a redesigned trapezoidal grille, a tweaked front bumper, swept-back headlamps and a more upright bonnet.
On the other hand, the 2026 Toyota Fortuner will feature a new, larger grille, redesigned bumper, slim LED DRLs, slightly repositioned split headlamp setup and fog lamp assembly. Spy shots also suggest that the SUV will have a more squared-off rear profile, with elements such as a newly-designed tailgate, revised bumper and slimmer wraparound taillamps.
New Toyota Innova Hycross 2026 Facelift – Key Details
The new 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift will offer a larger 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other expected feature upgrades include an electrically adjustable front passenger seat, an updated digital instrument cluster, improved connected car technology and a 360-degree camera. Toyota might also improve the cabin with better material quality, fit and finish and improved NHV levels.
Under the hood, the new Toyota Innova Hycross will continue to feature the existing 173bhp, 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol and 184bhp, 2.0L strong hybrid powertrain options.
New Toyota Fortuner 2026 – Key Details
The 2026 Toyota Fortuner will share several features with the new Toyota Hilux including a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display. One of the biggest upgrades could be the introduction of an ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite, called Toyota Safety Sense. The SUV might also be equipped with a dual 12.3-inch display setup, wireless smartphone charging, ventilated and powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, improved connectivity features and OTA updates.
For India, the new Toyota Fortuner is expected to be offered with the existing 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engine options. The latter will also be available with Toyota’s Neo Drive mild hybrid system.
