As promised, Huawei has officially unveiled the latest addition to its nova 16 series in China. The nova 16 SE packs a large 8,500mAh battery and comes with a bright display with a claimed 8,000 nits peak brightness.
The Huawei nova 16 SE features a 6.84-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Kirin 8020 chipset and is available with up to 512GB of onboard storage.

One of the handset’s biggest highlights is its 8,500mAh battery, which supports 66W wired fast charging.

For photography, the nova 16 SE features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 1.5MP Red Maple color sensor. On the front, it houses a 32MP selfie camera.
The smartphone ships with HarmonyOS 6.1 and supports two-way satellite messaging. Other connectivity features include dual-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Huawei’s nova 16 SE features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
It is offered in Cherry Blossom Snow Sky, Dawn Orange, Starry Night Black, and Sky White color options.

Pricing starts at CNY 2,499 ($370) for the 128GB variant, while the 256GB and 512GB models are priced at CNY 2,699 ($400) and CNY 3,199 ($475), respectively.
The phone is currently available to order through Huawei’s official online store in China, with deliveries set to begin next week.
