Sony launched the WH-1000XM4 headphones in 2020, and they’ve since been discontinued as they were first replaced by the WH-1000XM5 and then the WH-1000XM6, which just received a new color a few days ago.
However, it now seems like Sony plans to revive the WH-1000XM4, and relaunch them as the WH-1000XM4C. This product will allegedly be released on September 7 for €249.99 or £219.99.

The original Sony WH-1000XM4
In Euros, that makes these €100 cheaper than the original WH-1000XM4 were when they launched all those years ago. But the weird thing is that you can sometimes find the WH-1000XM5 on sale for less than the WH-1000XM4C is expected to cost.
The new headphones will reportedly be available in Platinum Silver, Black, and Lavender. Interestingly, the specs are pretty much identical to the original WH-1000XM4, but the battery life with ANC off is 4 hours shorter at 34 hours vs 38 hours.
