Qualcomm is expected to unveil its next-generation flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro at the annual Snapdragon Summit next month, and it just leaked in an AnTuTu 11 benchmark run.

The SM8975, as it is known internally, managed an impressive 4.83 million points. For reference, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 usually hits between 4 and 4.6 million points. This means the upcoming chip offers a mere 5% boost in AnTuTu. Though, as usual with leaked benchmark runs, this is likely unfinished hardware, so the scores should be taken with a few grains of salt.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro AnTuTu 11 test run

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro is expected to be joined by a non-Pro version. Both chips are rumored to be fabbed on a 2nm process, but it remains to be seen if that will be TSMC’s or Samsung’s. Based on earlier rumors, both SD 8 Gen 6 series chips will feature next-gen Oryon CPU cores in a 2+3+3 configuration. The non-Pro is allegedly getting an Adreno 845 GPU with 12MB of on-chip graphics memory, while the Pro should get the more capable Adreno 850 with 18MB of graphics memory.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro is expected to be at the helm of upcoming devices like the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max, which should arrive sometime in September.
