New Audi Q3 Debuts In India – Diwali Launch, Price & Big Changes


The third-generation Audi Q3 has finally made its India debut at an event in Mumbai. The entry-level luxury SUV is scheduled to launch during this year’s Diwali festive season and will challenge the Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1. While its prices will be officially announced closer to the launch, the new Q3 is expected to cost around Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Improved Styling

Featuring significant design changes, the new Audi Q3 looks more evolved and refreshing than the previous generation. Upfront, the SUV carries a larger single-frame grille with wider honeycomb-patterned air dam, sharper headlamps and a more sculpted bonnet. The higher trims are exclusively offered with the advanced Matrix LED headlamps with micro-LED modules and DRLs with 23 individual segments.

Other design highlights include digital OLED taillamps, a full-width lighting element, dual-toe alloy wheels, body-coloured side cladding, roof rails, illuminated Audi rings and body-coloured rear bumper with faux air exists and a silver skid plate. In terms of dimensions, the new Q3 measures 4,531mm in length, 1,859mm in width and 1,623mm in height with a wheelbase fo 2,581mm.

Interior & Features

Inside the cabin, the new Audi Q3 offers a redesigned dashboard, a repositioned gear selector, an updated digital interface and acoustic front glass along with the updated lane assistance systems and adaptive cruise control.

Power & Performance

Mechanically, the new Audi Q3 remains unchanged. The third-generation model continues to feature the 2.0L, 4-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The motor produces a maximum power of 204bhp and 320Nm of torque. The SUV comes equipped with Audi’s Quattro AWD system. Audi claims that the Q3 accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 229kmph.
