2026 Maruti Baleno Design Changes
The facelifted Baleno will feature a heavily revised front fascia. It will get a newly-designed grille with horizontal chrome-finished bar in the centre connecting headlamps. While the boomerang-shaped LED DRLs will remain unchanged, the hatchback will feature a tweaked bumper and a new fog lamp assembly. Other design highlights are expected to include newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels and a revised rear bumper.
2026 Maruti Baleno Feature Upgrades
The interior could receive a premium upgrade with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system (borrowed from the Victoris) along with a wireless phone charger. The hatchback might also get a new cabin theme and revised upholstery and trims. Expected features include a single-pan sunroof, ventilated front seats and Level 1 ADAS suite.
However, the dashboard design, a flat-bottom steering wheel, trapezoidal AC vents and physical knobs for HVAC controls will remain unchanged. Features such as a 6-speaker Arkamys audio system, Head-Up Display (HUD), OTA (over-the-air) updates, a voice assistant, an auto dimming IRVM, connected car tech, keyless entry, automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera will be carried over from the current model.
2026 Maruti Baleno Engine & Gearbox Options
According to reports, the new Maruti Baleno could be offered with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, sourced from the Swift hatchback. The engine delivers a claimed 82PS of power and 112Nm of torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will continue to be offered. The facelifted Baleno could also become the brand’s first vehicle to offer a CNG powertrain with an AMT gearbox.

A minimal price hike is expected for the new Baleno. The pre-facelift version is currently available in the price range of Rs 5.99 lakh – Rs 9.48 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the new Maruti Baleno will continue to take on the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza.
