Apple’s new CEO teases the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s variable aperture camera

Mere hours before Apple’s grand iPhone unveiling event is set to start, Apple’s new CEO, John Ternus, has posted a mysterious video on his official X account. The video is definitely a teaser for what’s to come at the event later today. See it for yourself:

This will be the first Apple launch event since John Ternus took over as CEO of the company from Tim Cook. The video may be teasing the long-rumored variable aperture main camera that will feature on at least the iPhone 18 Pro Max, if not also the iPhone 18 Pro.

This is in fact Ternus’ second post on X ever, the first being a simple “Hello”. So it’s pretty clear how important today’s launch event is for him. Anyway, stay tuned for our full coverage of Apple’s launches in just a few hours. If you’re wondering what to expect, we have a dedicated article all about that here.
