Apple’s brand new iPhone 18 Pro series is now available for pre-order, with sales set to begin on September 18. Meanwhile, pre-orders for the iPhone Duo will start in October, but if you can’t wait that long, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra are both on sale this week.

The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max look similar to last year’s iPhone 17 Pro series, but are available in new colorways. The new iPhones also get the new 2nm A20 Pro chipset and feature a variable aperture main rear camera.

Apple has increased the prices of both the new Pro models, so if you’d like to save some money, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are available with discounts up to £150.

If you’re interested in the new iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable, then you’ll have to wait until October 16 to pre-order it, with sales set to start on October 23.

The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner flexible display and a 5.4-inch cover screen. Both displays offer a 4:3 aspect ratio. It’s powered by the A20 Pro chipset as well, but makes do with a dual-rear camera setup.

One of its main competitors is Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8, which is currently available with a discount of up to £250. The Z Fold8 has a similar passport-like design as the iPhone Duo.

If you’re looking for an even larger screen, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is also up to £250 off its launch price, making it a great deal.

Want something smaller? The Galaxy Z Flip8 is available with a price cut as well.

The latest Samsung Galaxy Z foldables are all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset.

Notably, Samsung’s entire Galaxy S26 lineup is also currently on sale, including the newly launched Galaxy S26 FE. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is £400 off right now, whereas the Galaxy S26+ gets a £370 price cut. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 is available with a discount of £250.

The Galaxy S26 FE is also on sale, but you’re only going to save £50 off its launch price.

It comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, the Exynos 2500 chipset, a 4,900mAh battery, and a triple-rear camera setup.
