The all-new Hyundai Bayon midsize SUV is set to make its global debut on October 12, 2026. Official bookings are already underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000. In Hyundai’s product lineup, the Bayon will sit between the Venue and Creta, and will rival the Maruti Suzuki Victrois and other midsize SUVs in the segment.

The model will go on sale in India during the 2026 Diwali festive season, with its official price announcement at the launch event. However, it’s expected to be priced between Rs 9 lakh for the base variant and Rs 14 lakh for the top-end trim.
Powertrain Options
According to reports, the Hyundai Bayon will be offered with the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine borrowed from the Creta. The engine delivers a maximum power of 114bhp and 144Nm; however, it could be retuned for the Bayon. Transmission choices are expected to include a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
The 1.5-litre NA petrol engine will also be available with a factory-fitted CNG tank. It could feature an underbody-mounted CNG fitment. If launched with this setup, the Bayon will become Hyundai’s first CNG model measuring over 4 meters in length.
Expected Features
Hyundai will introduce the Bayon with an in-built generative AI voice assistant as a part of its “Intelligence ON” campaign. The SUV will also feature twin connected screens and physical HVAC controls along with automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, multi-functional steering wheel with 4-dot motif, leatherette seats, a panoramic sunroof, traction control, electronic stability control, six airbags and Level 2 ADAS suite.
Design Highlights
Multiple official teasers and spy images reveal that the new Hyundai Bayon will feature boxy and upright stance. The SUV will get a split headlamp setup, H-shaped LED DRLs, functional roof rails, flared wheel arches, 17-inch dual tome alloy wheels and sleek LED rear light band.
