Garhwa: A speeding truck mowed down a man and his son at Mahtab More on the Ranka-Ramkanda road in Garhwa district around 3.30pm on Sunday.The deceased were identified as Mukesh Kashyap (38) and his son Divyanshu Kumar (14), while Geeta Devi (34), wife of Mukesh, sustained injuries, police said.The officer-in-charge of Ranka police station, Chetan Kumar Singh, said, “Mukesh, a native of Ramanujganj (Chhattisgarh), his wife, and son were returning home from Palamu district on a two-wheeler after celebrating Dussehra when the truck on way from Ranka to Ramkanda hit them.”A case was registered in this connection and further action is underway.
