The long-wait for the all-new Tata Sierra will soon be over with its official launch in November 2025. However, the exact launch date is yet to be announced. With modern design language, premium interior and multiple engines, the Sierra will challenge the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and other midsize SUVs.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the SUV lineup will be available with both ICE (internal combustion engine) and electric powertrain options. However, the detailed engine specifications are still under the wraps.

Expected Engine Options
According to media reports, the Tata Sierra will initially be offered with an all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will later be joined by a new 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. The SUV might borrow the 2.0L diesel engine (118PS/260Nm) from the Nexon. The Sierra EV, which will be positioned against the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV, is likely to share its powertrains with the Harrier EV.
Expected Prices
While official prices of the Sierra will be announced in the coming weeks, the SUV’s ICE-powered version is expected to cost around Rs 11 lakh for the base variant to nearly Rs 21 lakh for the top-end trim.
Prices of the Tata Sierra EV are likely to start around Rs 18 lakh for the entry-level variant with smaller battery pack, while the top-end trim with larger battery and QWD system is expected to be priced around Rs 25 lakh.

The SUV will also come with the Harrier EV-inspired four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a Harman sound system, wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS, ESC, 360-degree cameras, multiple airbags and more.
