VISAKHAPATNAM: A mild earthquake was felt in Visakhapatnam city at around 4.20am, causing panic among residents. The epicentre is believed to be near G Madugula village in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, which might have triggered the mild tremors felt across several parts of Visakhapatnam.People in areas such as Murali Nagar, Gajuwaka, Madhurawada, MVP Colony, and Gopalapatnam reported feeling the vibrations and rushed out of their homes in fear.According to preliminary reports, the intensity of the quake at G Madugula was around 3.7 on the Richter scale. Officials confirmed that the earthquake was of low intensity, and no damage to life or property has been reported. However, as a precaution, residents have been advised to stay alert.
