Mahindra’s two highly-popular SUVs – the XUV700 and the Scorpio N – are set to receive midlife updates in 2026. While the updated Mahindra XUV700 will go on sale in the first quarter, the facelifted Scorpio N is likely to arrive in the second half of the year. Both models are expected to receive subtle design changes and feature upgrades, while retaining their existing engine and gearbox combinations. Recently, a heavily camouflaged test mule of the new 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N was caught on camera.
New 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N – What to Expect?

The updated Scorpio N will continue to feature its signature upright stance and silhouette, offering its commanding road presence. Major design changes are expected at the front end. The SUV might sport a newly-designed grille, redesigned headlamps with LED DRL signature and a tweaked bumper. While the side profile is likely to remain largely unchanged, it could get newly-designed larger alloy wheels.
Aiming to further enhance its value proposition, Mahindra might equip the new Scorpio N with additional features such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos tech, powered front seats, and a driver seat with memory function.
Mechanically, the new 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N will remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to use the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines, generating power worth 200PS with 370Nm (MT)/380Nm (AT) and 132PS/175PS with 300Nm, 370Nm (MT)/400Nm (AT), respectively. Transmission options will also be carried over from the current model, including a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
A minimal price hike is expected of the new 2026 Mahindra Scorpio. The current lineup is available within the price range of Rs 13.20 lakh – Rs 24.17 lakh (all, ex-showroom). It will continue to take on the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar.
