New Turbo-Petrol Engine
The new 2026 Tata Punch facelift will receive a new 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol, borrowed from the Nexon. While the exact power and torque figures for the Punch are yet to be revealed, this engine generates 110PS and 140Nm in the Nexon when paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Additionally, the Punch will continue to come with the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces a maximum power of 110PS and 140Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
Competition & Price Expectations
When launched, the new Tata Punch 2026 will continue to compete with the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Fronx and Citron C3. Given the noticble feature upgrades and design changes, the facelifted model is likely to witness a minimal price hike over the outgoing version. Currently, the pre-facelift Punch is available within the price bracket of Rs 5.50 lakh – Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
