Dhanbad: Police on Monday launched a large-scale crackdown against the notorious gang led by Prince Khan early on Monday morning. The coordinated operation began around 5 am with simultaneous raids carried out in several parts of the city. The action is specifically targeted at Prince Khan’s close aides, associates, and individuals allegedly providing him with financial and logistical support.According to the police, over a dozen locations were raided simultaneously in sensitive areas, including Wasseypur, Pandarpala, and Bhuli. The operation is led by the SP (city) and SP (rural), reflecting the seriousness of the drive. Several (DSP-rank officers, along with a large contingent of police personnel and security forces, were deployed to ensure the raids were conducted effectively and without resistance.In Pandarpala’s Bhattha Mohalla, teams conducted a raid at the residence of land dealer Mohd Kaish. Another team searched the house of fruit trader Wasim in the Pandarpala area. In Wasseypur, police inspected a fruit shop located at Ara More, allegedly linked to the same individual, and also raided the house of Babu Khan in the Gulzarbagh locality. The searches were carried out meticulously with officers examining documents, financial records, and other materials suspected to have links to the gangster’s operations.During the raids, police detained Nadeem Khan and Shah Rukh, both reportedly associated with animal trade. Their alleged role in supporting the gang is currently under investigation. Confirming the operation, SSP Prabhat Kumar said four individuals were taken into custody so far and are being interrogated. He also said several land-related documents were seized during the raids.The SSP further said police identified several businessmen and influential individuals who are suspected of providing financial assistance to Prince Khan. “Such elements will not be spared. The action against the gang and its support system will continue,” he asserted.Notably, a few days ago, SSP Prabhat Kumar publicly warned of strict action against so-called “white-collar” individuals supporting Prince Khan.
