The new Tata Punch 2026 facelift has finally been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it directly takes on the Hyundai Exter (Rs 5.74 lakh – 9.61 lakh), Maruti Fronx (Rs 6.85 lakh – Rs 11.98 lakh) and Citron C3 (Rs 4.95 lakh – Rs 10.21 lakh).

The pre-facelift Punch was available within the price range of Rs 5.50 lakh – Rs 9.30 lakh, making the updated model nearly Rs 9,000 more expensive. The new Tata Punch lineup comes in six trims – Smart (new), Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished+ – and six colour options including Daytona Grey, Cyantific Blue, Bengal Rouge (Red), Coorg Clouds, Caramel (Yellow), and Pristine White.

New Turbo Petrol Engine

The new 2026 Tata Punch facelift is now available with a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine, sourced from the Nexon. This motor, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, generates a maximum power of 120PS and 170Nm of torque.

The 1.2L petrol and 1.2L petrol + CNG powertrain options have been carried over from the pre-facelift Punch. The NA petrol engine produces power worth 88bhp and 115Nm of torque, while the CNG variant is good enough for 73.5PS and 103Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speeed automated manual (AMT) gearboxes, both retained from the outgoing model.
