Samsung unveiled the Exynos 2600 SoC just a month ago as the world’s first 2nm mobile chip. While the chipset hasn’t appeared in any phones yet, a new leak has already surfaced revealing details about its successor, the Exynos 2700.
A tipster with virtually no track record has shared alleged details about Samsung’s Exynos 2700 SoC, expected to debut in 2027. As always, such claims should be taken with a grain of salt.
The tipster claims the chipset, codenamed Ulysses, will be built on Samsung’s second-generation 2nm process (SF2P). It is said to deliver a 12% boost in overall performance and a 25% reduction in power consumption compared to the Exynos 2600 (SF2 node).
The Exynos 2700’s CPU is rumored to feature a prime core clocked at 4.2GHz alongside ARM’s C2 cores. According to the tipster, the chipset is expected to achieve around 4,800 points in single-core and 15,000 points in multi-core Geekbench tests.
Samsung Foundry will reportedly use its FOWLP-SbS (Side-by-Side) packaging technology to enhance thermal efficiency and improve heat dissipation, which should help reduce throttling during heavy workloads.
The Exynos 2700, paired with the latest Xclipse GPU, will also support LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage, both of which are claimed to deliver overall improved performance of up to 40%.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 series will likely use the Exynos 2700 SoC in certain regions. Notably, the Galaxy S26 lineup, expected to debut in the coming weeks, could be equipped with the Exynos 2600 in some countries.
