Turbo-Petrol Power
One of the major upgrades comes in the form of the new 1.2L turbo petrol engine, borrowed from the Nexon. This motor produces a maximum power of 120bhp and 170Nm of torque. Tata claims that the new Punch with turbo-petrol engine sprints from 0 to 100kmph in 11.1 seconds. It’s available exclusively with a manual transmission.
NA & CNG Options
The SUV lineup is also available with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating power worth 88hbp and 115Nm of torque. The CNG version uses the same 1.2L petrol engine, paired with Tata’s dual-cylinder CNG technology, which delivers a peak power of 73bhp and 103Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
Lots of Features
The new Tata Punch 2026 receives a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a new 8-speaker audio system, a new 360-degree camera and a new 7-inch digital driver’s display. The extended thigh support ensures more comfort for the front and rear seat passengers. The Punch now offers three-point seatbelts for all occupants.
Strong Safety
On the safety front, the updated Punch offers six airbags as standard along with tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability program, hill hold and descent control, rear parking sensors, Isofix child seat anchorages, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.
