Exter, Verna Facelift & New SUV


The next-generation Hyundai Venue was the last major product launch from the South Korean automaker in India. For this year, the company has planned three major launches including the Exter and Verna facelifts along with an all-new compact crossover.

The updated Exter and Verna have been spied testing multiple times, therefore we already have a handful of details about the upcoming products. The new Hyundai compact crossover is likely to be based on the globally available Hyundai Bayon.

Here’re the key details of these upcoming Hyundai SUVs we know so far.

New Hyundai Exter 2026 Facelift

The latest spy images reveal that the new Exter will receive subtle changes inside and out. Most of the cosmetic updates will be made at the front end. The micro SUV will feature a slightly revised front grille, a revised bumper and, H-shaped DRL signatures. It could also get redesigned tailgate, taillamps and rear bumper.

The interior is expected to be feature a larger infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster, new trims and upholstery. Mechanically, the new Hyundai Exter will remain unchanged. It will continue to come with the 82bhp, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options.

New Hyundai Verna 2026 Facelift

The latest sighting hints that the new Hyundai Verna will come with a larger dual screen setup, a new steering wheel and dual-tone interior theme. Most features will be carried over from the current model. Similar to the current model, the facelifted one will feature a 1.5L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engines, generating power worth 160bhp with 253Nm and 115-S with 143.8Nm, respectively. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.

Hyundai Compact Crossover

The Hyundai Bayon-based compact crossover is likely to arrive in the third quarter of 2026. Unlike Bayon, the India-spec model will measure sub-4 metre and will be offered with a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine. This new powertrain will hybrid-ready, and it will also be used in other future Hyundai cars. A 1.0L turbo petrol engine from the Venue might also be on offer.
