As expected, Apple’s week of product launches has begun, with the iPhone 17e arriving first. The latest affordable iPhone closely resembles last year’s 16e but introduces a few upgrades while retaining the same price tag.
For starters, the iPhone 17e is now powered by Apple’s A19 chip, albeit with a 4-core GPU. The device does, however, feature the latest C1X modem, which is claimed to deliver improved connectivity.

On the front, the phone continues to sport a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 2532×1170 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and a notch for the Face ID system and selfie camera. However, the screen is now protected by a newer Ceramic Shield 2 glass.
At the back, the iPhone 17e gets a single 48MP camera with OIS and 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video recording support. Apple claims that the portrait performance is now better thanks to a new image processing pipeline.

For selfies and video calling, there’s a 12MP camera up front.
The iPhone 17e now also gets MagSafe, which enables compatibility with a range of accessories. It supports 15W wireless and faster wired charging as well.

Other specs include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, an IP68 rating, GPS, NFC, Satellite connectivity, and eSIM support. It runs iOS 26 and comes with Apple Intelligence.
Apple’s new iPhone 17e starts at $599 for the 256GB model, while the 512GB variant is priced at $799. It is available in Black, White, and a new Soft Pink finish. Pre-orders begin March 4, with deliveries set to start on March 11.
