Maruti Suzuki is extensively testing the upcoming Brezza and Baleno facelifts ahead of their market launch in the coming months. Both models are expected to receive subtle cosmetic updates, feature enhancements and minor mechanical upgrades. While exact details will be officially revealed closer to launch, here’s what we know so far based on the spy images, media reports and industry speculations.
New Maruti Brezza 2026 Facelift

Under the hood, the updated Brezza is likely to receive the Fronx-sourced 1.0L turbo petrol engine, producing power worth 100bhp and 147Nm of torque. This engine could be paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. The existing 1.5L petrol and CNG powertrains will also be carried over to the facelifted model. Additionally, the new Maruti Brezza CNG is likely to feature an underbody CNG tank similar to the Victoris.
On the inside, the subcompact SUV is expected to come with a larger touchscreen along with new upholstery and trims. While exterior design changes are likely to be minimal, the overall styling will be refreshing. The updated lineup might also come in new colour options.

New Maruti Baleno 2026 Facelift

A test mule of the new Maruti Baleno 2026 facelift was recently caught on camera with heavy camouflage. Spy images suggest that the updated model will feature a newly-designed and wider grille, redesigned headlamps and a tweaked bumper. Apart from new alloy wheels, the side profile will remain largely unchanged. At the rear, revisions such as an updated bumper and LED taillamps with refreshed internals will enhance its overall appeal.
Similar to the Brezza facelift, the updated Maruti Baleno might be offered with the Fronx’ 1.0L turbo petrol engine, while retaining the existing 1.2L Dualjet petrol motor. The CNG variant could feature an underbody CNG tank, freeing up more boot space. There are rumours that Maruti Suzuki’s in-house developed strong hybrid powertrain could debut with the Baleno facelift.
