The BSA Scrambler 650 bike has finally been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the Gold Star 650, this new motorcycle is nearly Rs 50,000 more affordable than the Royal Enfield Bear 650. The lineup is available in three colour options – Raven Black, Victor Yellow and Thunder Grey – priced at Rs 3,24,950, Rs 3,32,950 and Rs 3,40,950, respectively.

Engine & Power
Powering the new BSA Scrambler 650 is a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the same unit found in the BSA Gold Star 650. This motor, paired with a 5-speed gearbox, delivers a maximum power of 45PS at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
Mechanical Updates
While the engine is borrowed from the Gold Star 650, the Screambler 650 features several mechanical updates. It comes with a revised geometry, a larger 19-inch front wheel and weighs slightly more than its sibling at 208kg.
Suspension & Brakes
The suspension duties are taken care of by the conventional telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The suspension travel has been increased for improved performance on rough roads. The bike comes equipped with a 320mm front and a 255mm rear disc brake, further assisted by dual-channel ABS.
Key Features
The BSA Scrambler 650 comes with an offset digital instrument cluster offering basic information display with minimal electronic interference. It also gets a slipper clutch and traction control.
