Honor Play 80 Plus arrives with SD 4 Gen 4 and 7,500mAh battery


The third entry in the Honor Play 80 series is here with the Play 80 Plus. It joins the Play 80 and Play 80 Pro, which were announced earlier this year in China, and brings a larger 7,500mAh battery alongside Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.

Play 80 Plus is built around a 6.61-inch TFT LCD with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,010 nits peak brightness. The panel also gets a 5MP front-facing camera inside a punch hole cutout. Around the back, we have a single 13MP cam with f/1.8 aperture, which supports up to 1080p video recording.

Honor fitted the Play 80 Plus with a 7,500mAh battery, which is rated at up to 20 hours of video playback, and Honor claims it will retain up to 80% of its health after 6 years of use. It supports 45W wired charging and reverse charging capabilities.

The phone boots MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16 and comes with Honor’s AI suite. There’s a physical AI shortcut key, which can be used to summon the AI assistant and quick-launch shortcuts and apps. You also get IP64 ingress protection.

Honor Play 80 Plus comes in Aquamarine, Black, and Gold colors. Pricing in China starts at CNY 1,699 ($249/€213 converted) for the 6/128GB version and goes up to CNY 2,099 ($307/€263 converted) for the 8/256GB trim.
