The latest iteration of the Skoda Octavia RS was introduced in India in October, 2025. Priced at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the performance sedan made its way via the CBU (completely built unit) route in limited numbers. Interestingly, the model was sold out even before its official price announcement and bookings were closed until the arrival of the second batch.
While Skoda Auto India hasn’t officially announced the launch timeline for the sedan’s second batch, it’s likely to arrive around the 2026 Diwali season. In terms of positioning, the Octavia RS takes on the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which is currently priced at Rs 50.91 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powerful Engine
Under the hood, the Skoda Octavia RS features the Volkswagen Group’s proven 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This motor, which also powers the Golf GTI, produces a maximum power of 265bhp and 370Nm of torque.
Power is delivered to the front wheels. Skoda claims that the performance sedan accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 6.4 seconds and offers a top speed of 250kmph. Unlike the global-spec version, however, the India-bound model misses out on Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).
Colours & Design Highlights
Buyers can choose from five colour options – Magic Black, Candy White, Velvet Red, Mamba Green and Race Blue. On the exterior, the sedan features blacked-out trim, sporty chiselled bumpers, 19-inch aero-optimized alloy wheels, RS badging, exhaust system and a lip spoiler.

Inside, the Skoda Octavia RS offers an all-black cabin theme with contrast red stitching along with sports seats.
