Renault India has announced that the Duster TCe 100 delivers a claimed ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.41 kmpl. The SUV is powered by a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 100bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine is exclusively offered in the Authentic, Evolution and Techno trims.
The carmaker states that the Renault Duster TC 100 engine has been “is built on all‑new RGMP platform, with its engine and powertrain comprehensively engineered and tuned to perfectly align with this advanced architecture. The unit is exclusive to the Duster, calibrated specifically to complement the platform’s dynamics.”

Speaking on the development, Dr. V. Vikraman, Chief of Renault Engineering, Renault Group India, said, “The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency reflects Renault’s focus on practical engineering and customer value. The Turbo TCe 100 engine uses turbocharging and efficient combustion to deliver responsive performance with strong fuel economy. With the 6‑speed manual transmission, the powertrain provides a balanced and efficient driving experience.”
The Renault Duster is also available with a 1.3L turbo petrol engine that generates power worth 163PS and 280Nm of torque. It can be had either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The larger 1.3L turbo petrol engine is claimed to offer fuel efficiency of 17.75kmpl with manual gearbox and 18.45kmpl with dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Renault Duster Hybrid Coming By 2026 Diwali
Renault India is now gearing up to launch the Duster hybrid around Diwali 2026 festive season. The hybrid iteration will feature a 109bhp, 1.8L petrol engine paired with a 49bhp electric motor, a 20bhp hybrid starter generator and a 1.4kWh battery pack. This setup delivers a combined power of 160bhp and 172Nm. The Duster hybrid will be more powerful than the hybrid versions of the Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
Interestingly, the first batch of the Duster hybrid has already been sold out, and bookings have been closed for the time being.
