Hyundai Motor India is extensively testing the next-generation Creta ahead of its launch in 2027. Multiple spy shots have revealed several key details of the all-new model. The new Hyundai Creta 2027 will come with significantly improved design, a more feature and tech-loaded interior and a new strong hybrid powertrain. Furthermore, the SUV will switch to a new platform, resulting in larger dimensions and improved cabin space, especially for the rear seat passengers.
A More Premium Interior
Starting with the interior, the 2027 Hyundai Creta will debut with the brand’s Pleos Connect system, compromising a larger centre touchscreen and a slim driver’s display along with built-in Gleo AI. The SUV might also receive an upgraded ADAS suite, new upholstery, redesigned door trims and adjustable headrests for rear seat occupants.
Key Design Changes
One of the test mules was equipped with the larger 19-inch newly-designed alloy wheels. The new Hyundai Creta 2027 will feature a sharper design language with elements such as the new Venue-inspired LED headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and revised front and rear bumpers.
New Platform & Dimensions
Similar to the new-gen Kia Seltos, the 2027 Hyundai Creta is expected to underpin the new K3 platform. This architecture enables the carmaker increase the vehicle’s dimensions and more efficient cabin packaging. Spy shots clearly indicate that the new Creta will be longer and wider than its current generation, which translate into better cabin space and comfort.
New 1.2L Petrol-Hybrid Powertrain?
The biggest upgrade will be an introduction of a new 1.2 TGDi petrol hybrid powertrain. According to reports, Hyundai is developing a new 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine, which might debut in the upcoming Hyundai Bayon SUV in 2026. This engine will be hybrid-ready and will play a pivotal role in expanding Hyundai’s hybrid vehicle portfolio across global and domestic markets.
The new Hyundai Creta 2027 SUV lineup might also continue to offer the existing 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and 116bhp, 1.5L diesel engine options. Transmission choices will also remain unchanged.
