The Tata Sierra EV has been revealed ahead of its official launch on June 30, 2026. The electric iteration looks largely similar to its ICE counterpart, retaining the same upright and tall stance. However, it features a body-coloured closed-off grille, revised front bumper with gloss black finish and a faux silver skid plate. Unlike the ICE-powered Sierra, which has ‘Sierra’ branding on the front, the electric version misses out on it.

The ‘Sierra.ev’ badging on the front doors and the tailgate further differentiates it from its ICE counterpart. It also gets a new silver colour scheme.

The interior of the Tata Sierra EV is yet to be revealed. However, it’s likely to share a strong resemblance with the ICE-powered Sierra. The electric SUV will feature a triple screen setup comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch front passenger screen.
Other key features are likely to include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 13-speaker JBL audio system, a panoramic sunroof, augmented-reality HUD (Head-Up Display), 6-way powered driver’s seat, iRA connected car suite, rear AC vents, 6 airbags, traction control, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Sharing Its Powertrain With Harrier EV
Tata Motors is yet to reveal the powertrain specifications of the Sierra EV. However, it’s likely to borrow the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs from the Harrier EV, along with RWD and AWD/QWD drivetrain options. The dual-motor AWD configuration is expected to be reserved for higher trims. The EV is expected to offer a driving range of over 500km on a full charge.
Competition & Expected Prices
Once launched, the Tata Sierra EV will be positioned against the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and MG ZS EV. Prices of the EV are likely to start around Rs 18 lakh for the entry-level 65kWh single-motor RWD variant and go up to Rs 25 lakh for the top-end 75kWh dual-motor QWD variant.
