3 Engine Options – NA Petrol, Turbo Petrol & CNG
The new Maruti Brezza 2026 model lineup will be offered with three engine options – a new 1.0L Boosterjet turbocharged petrol, a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and CNG. The new 1.0L turbo petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx, will be paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. In the Fronx, this engine delivers a maximum power of 100bhp and 148Nm of torque.
With the introduction of the new turbo-petrol engine, the Brezza will benefit from the lower 18 percent GST tax slab, compared to the 28 percent GST applicable to the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol version. The 1.5L, four-cylinder Dual VVT engine produces a peak power of 101.6bhp and 136.8Nm of torque.

Similar to the current model, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift will also be available with a 1.5L K15C S-CNG powertrain option. The setup delivers power worth 86.7bhp and 121.5Nm of torque. Speculations suggest that Maruti Suzuki might offer a CNG version of the new 1.0L turbo petrol engine.
Mileage Figures
Currently, the Maruti Brezza petrol manual and automatic variants deliver a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.89kmpl and 19.80kmpl, respectively. The CNG version offers up to 25.52km/kg. The mileage figures for the new 1.0L turbo petrol engine are yet to be revealed. For reference, the same engine in the Maruti Fronx returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.50kmp with the 5-speed manual and 20.01kmpl with the 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
Expected Prices
Since the new 2026 Maruti Brezza turbo petrol will attract a lower GST rate, it’s expected to be priced competitively. The updated NA and CNG versions are likely to witness a minor price hike. At present, the Brezza lineup is available within the price range of Rs 8.26 lakh – Rs 12.86 lakh (ex-showroom).
