Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2’ is performing strongly in theaters, crossing Rs 94.1 crore in total collections. Despite an initial delay, the film has maintained decent numbers, with day 24 estimates exceeding Rs 40 lakh. The movie, a sequel to the 2021 hit, continues to draw audiences with its mass appeal.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda 2’ was released on December 12 after its initial delay on December 5 owing to legal woes. The film bore a strong outing on the opening days and is running in theatres with decent numbers. Early estimates suggest the film collected over Rs 40 lakh on day 24.According to a report by trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Akhanda 2’ has been performing steadily as the days pass. The film, after its first week, collected a total of Rs 76.75 crore. The collection dropped as in the second week the film minted Rs 12.3 crore. In the third week, the film added Rs 4.1 crore. Later on the 22nd day, the film made Rs 25 lakh. On Saturday, it made Rs 30 lakh and on Sunday made Rs 40 lakh. The total collection of the film is over Rs 94.1 crore.

Theatrical release of ‘Akhanda 2’

With regards to the film’s theatrical occupancy, ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ had an overall 21.04% Telugu occupancy on Sunday. The movie during the morning shows recorded 19.79%. It later increased during the afternoon shows at 22.55%. Later in the evening, the shows went further to 24.50% and dropped to 17.30% in attendance during the night shows.
